Why we built our own software
We tried the off-the-shelf cabinet shop software. None of it fit. So we wrote our own — and it's why we ship consistently.
Most custom cabinet shops use one of a small handful of off-the-shelf software packages — for estimating, for the CNC, for tracking jobs through production. We tried them. None of them fit how we wanted to run the shop.
So we built our own.
It started as a way to keep punchlists from getting lost between install and follow-up. Then it grew into estimating, then the 3D bid generator the dealers use, then the production scheduler that keeps the floor moving. Today, every door, drawer, and panel that leaves our shop has been tracked through it from the moment the order came in.
Why it matters to a builder
Honestly? It mostly doesn't — until it does. Most of the time you don't think about whether your cabinet shop is using spreadsheets or a custom-built operations platform. You think about whether the boxes show up on the day they were promised, whether the punchlist gets handled, and whether the team picks up the phone.
The reason we can do those things consistently is because we built the software to make it hard not to. Punchlist items are tied to photos. Install dates are tied to the production schedule. The production schedule is tied to material lead times. None of it relies on one person remembering.
What's next
We're not selling the software. It's ours, and it's how we run. What we are doing is using it to keep raising the bar on what a cabinet shop can promise.
